What is a funny & smart comic strip for a single woman to read?
I love Dilbert, Cathy, Far Side & Close to Home. Can you think of any other funny comic strips that a single funny & intelligent woman would like, one that isn't necessarily so common (like don't suggest Snoopy, For Better or Worse)? I'm looking for a new comic strip to read, but I'm not familiar with too many of the new ones. Thanks!

Cathy is a funny and smart
Cathy is a funny and smart comic strip for a single woman. Two strips which are not quite that sort of thing, but are funny and sharp in their own way are For Better Or Worse, a Canadian strip about a Dentist's family syndicated through a Chicago syndicate, and its evil twin Sylvia, a Chicago strip syndicated through a Canadian syndicate. That one is about a single mother of the baby boom generation with a jaundiced view of men ("After February 14, please address me as John Mustang. My car and I want to have the same last name".) politics ("Mercy, it's the Revolution and I'm still in my bathrobe" "Ma, can I be a feminist and still like men?") and television ("That woman must be on drugs").
Rose is Rose is nice, of course and of course Mutts. There are LOTS of good web comics out there too. But those are some favorites.

i adore 9 chickweed lane. i'm not single, and it's gotten to focus a lot more on a romance a long, long time in the making between two of the main characters, but it's sweet, endearing, brilliant, and funny whether or not you're in a relationship. because i am now and i wasn't when i started reading (brooke mceldowney's been doing it since like.. 1993 i think), i appreciate the romance more because i find it super relatable. anyway i would recommend it to anyone.

There is a comic strip here in the UK called "Nemi". I don't know if it has made it over to the USA. It's about a young, single woman and her antics.

So you opt for comics? I am not a comic reader but I love novels. Try reading the vampire diaries! Everything is there! Love, suspense and horror! It will not cost you a personal loan just to purchase the book. You will surely love it! :)
